Victoria tends to dominate the conversation and adopts a somewhat condescending, preachy tone. It would be beneficial for her to give guests and other hosts more space to share their money stories instead of reiterating their points with phrases that can come off as overly enthusiastic woo girl.

Used to love this podcast now I can’t stand it. Victoria is so knowledgeable, however I can’t help but cringe whenever she is talking now. She’s insufferable and gives off such condescending vibes. Especially when talking about babies, birth, childcare etc.

I’m a long way from being a millennial - my 30 something daughter put me onto SOTM - but I figure it’s never too late to learn about money & finances. Financial literacy is so important for women & no matter what age you are or what your current knowledge level is this is a fantastic...Read full review »

I’m a 21 yo girl who started working her first adult job this year as a registered nurse (i’m loving it btw) and lucky for me I started listening to the pod almost 2 years ago. At the beginning of 2024, I hosted a vision boarding get-together with my friends. One of my goals was to listen to more podcasts; another was to sort my finances out and grow my savings now that I was two years post-divorce. I’m so happy to say now, 10 months in, that one goal supported the...Read full review »

I have loved SOTM since I first came across it, and have all the books and working my way through the podcasts and masterclass. The absolute girl power that emanates from Victoria and the SOTM crew is so empowering. Finance doesn’t have to be something for the Wall Street bros, and I now already...Read full review »

I started listening about a year ago, and within just one year, the main difference it made was the confidence in my ability to change my financial habits. I had a mental block and was avoiding the topic of finances because I’m used to being a smartypants at almost everything else lol. I felt...Read full review »

I just finished listening the cringiest episode I’ve ever listened to - The Influencer Episode. Victoria is so out of touch here - we don’t support influencers they can’t earn money from content and they have bills to pay - ok - the. Victoria’s racist comments in the August 30 episode about the money expectations for presumably south Asian weddings are so off base and offensive. So horrible to assume a tradition that is about community is about transactions. If anything this reflects a gross western capitalist mindset.

Half of the episode I just listened to included stories such as buying a 6 pack on sale and then doing return and earn to get 60c back, and adding water to yoghurt to make it last longer. Stories such as this already feature on the Facebook ground and do not require such long air time. This...Read full review »

I really used to love this pod. I listened to the first few seasons and honestly recommended them to every girl but my life circumstances changed when I had kids so I didn’t listen for a few years. Reading some of the reviews I can see how some people might feel put off with Victoria's "slay" and "sexy" catchphrases, but I think she just goes into auto pilot, similarly to how people overuse the word "like" so I just tune it out when I listen. I've listened to...Read full review »

I want to love this podcast…..I love the premise of it and the topics covered in the episodes is great. But I find it so hard to listen to Victoria Devine. Some of the content is good but they obviously don’t read these reviews as nothing has changed. “They’re so much more dramatic, it’s like being bipolar.” I would suggest finding a better analogy for big and small goals than bipolar. It is stigmatising and sounds poorly informed and unnecessary. So I listened to todays podcast to find a man being featured, not a woman. I thought she’s on the money was a space just for us - women. When discussing “mediocre middle aged white men” in the Vivian Tu episode and Victoria says “they’re more fun to bring down” - isn’t that a bit harsh and hypocritical when you would likely never say that about any other human being? It gets very old hearing it over and over again

Great to get people talking about finances, but I hope no one takes this as advice. It’s constant sponsored material and marketing their own businesses to encourage people to spend money for their own gain. Disappointing for a former financial adviser to give such poor information.
