“Good podcast. STL has a relaxed but informative tone, and does not push sponsors on you or like some other podcasts. These guys have down to earth personalities, which shows a more lighthearted (less stiff/dry) side of Fine Woodworking magazine. The producer (Ed) performs the role of the neophyte, which works really well when pitted against his more seasoned counterparts. He does a good job of keeping things rolling. Asa is sometimes a bit goofy, but generally does a great job of providing "gentle" advice and direction, making sure topics and terms can be understood by all listeners. Sometimes the discussion can get a bit off topic, but usually not often and not for long. The usual guests (FWW editors) are insightful, talk a lot about both power tools and hand tools, but they seem to have power tool heavy shops. There also are some interesting discussions about the shops and methods of other well established woodworkers (and FWW contributors).
Sound quality has gotten markedly better since ep.1, and Ed seems to be conscious of the quality of the show.”Read full review »

Also - guest appearances would be very nice. You have access to the finest WW's in the land - I...”Read full review »
