Start with ep 48 and never look back
Maybe the best podcast out there on cinema ranging from niche to ultra niche. The breadth of films covered by these guys ranges from Japanese pink films to Italian horror to experimental films that barely make the cutoff for feature-length, from America, Australia, and more. Every episode provides the best of both worlds when it comes to film podcasts - half recap, and half research and contextual backstory for the film. The clear level of effort that's gone into a number of episodes is insane! They casually name drop in conversations filmmakers whose names you easily could've only seen in late night deep dives on film genre Wikipedias; who you'd previously never heard a human being mention out loud. Both guys are really likable and it's obvious they have a great time making this thing together. Definitely worth checking out if you want to be steadily convinced that Hisayasu Sato is the best filmmaker alive by two nice young men.Read full review »

Then I was surprised to find that the podcast was downright hilarious, with descriptions so...Read full review »
