Very good, concise and informative show. My only complaint is that there are far too many ads. The podcast averages about ten - fifteen minutes and there are often three segments for ads, which is at least two too many in my opinion. Hence the reduction of two stars.

I find the background music completely distracting in these podcasts. And as for the infantile sound effects, words fail me! (A cash register to signal the word “trigger”and little mice sounds when animal research is mentioned.) Luke is more than interesting enough. I really wish I could listen...Read full review »

Hugely enjoying your podcast. Always so exciting! It has been a real lifesaver during Covid and beyond. You asked about other potential topics. I’d be interested to learn about the connection between science and art. I’m not exactly sure what my question is to be honest - ! The science of art /...Read full review »

Every Thursday I wait to hear what Prof. has on his podcast . I have not missed one yet to date! Varying and diverse topics are always food for thought. I followed his advice all through Covid as he explained things so clearly and calmly. I must agree with another reviewer- ditch the background...Read full review »

I once went to a lecture by atom splitting scientist Earnest Walton. I was in the last year of secondary school and he explained splitting the atom in detail but also in everyday terms. It came to question time and he answered all questions simply and effortlessly. The teachers then asked...Read full review »

I first heard Luke O Neil talking about the COVID pandemic and he quickly became the voice of reason on the subject. I have started listening to his Show Me The Science podcast and it’s absolutely brilliant and entertaining Can’t recommend highly enough

Not sure about this guy. His Everyman guise doesn’t disguise all the money he is making from the Covid crisis and hurts the people who are suffering while he profits enormously. Also any scientist who goes on National Radio promoting the shooting and hunting to extinction of rare birds of prey in...Read full review »

The best thing to come out of COVID is Luke O’Neill becoming a public figure. Love his attitude to life. Makes science accessible to all!

Guys background audio Is so annoying especially in Vaccines 💉 podcast. Love Luke but had to mention. I’ll listen a bit more but will turn off if still annoying. Quite loud it is :/

Prof Luke O’ Neill really knows how to break down complex ideas into layman’s terms to help understand science. As someone who did not excel in science in school, I would have loved to have these topics delivered in this way. A must for all young science students.
