*Triggers: some swearing near the end.
There have been some issues I've run into the last year or so on various platforms of people getting angry when others ask for their evidence and sources for information. This essay began as a response to that, but has expanded over the year to include more ideas. I've debated posting it off and on and recent events finally made me feel it was necessary to post this.

So this one is going to have some swearing in it. I also couldn't line up a guest so it's more me just ranting more openly on my more personal takes on stuff.

Apologies for it being over a month before I could upload this. I've been moving to a new house and it got a bit crazier than I anticipated so I couldn't edit the audio for weeks. While I mention a bonus episode with a guest, I am still trying to coordinate with one possibility so if that fails, I will just record one on my own.
Special thanks to Baring the Aegis's blog as it was helpful for the latter part of this episode as well.

Starting with pre-history, we follow the worship of the Greek gods from then through the Minoans, Classical Era, the conversion of Christianity, and finally modern day. This is meant to be a broad overview of the history, and later episodes may discuss specific time periods and evidence in more depth.
One of my major sources for this episode's research was Walter Burkert's Greek Religion. Another source was Gardner's Art through the Ages, 11th Edition.

In this first episode, I explain what this religion is, the various names for it, and the reasons why some are drawn to it. I also give my own personal story of how I came to find this religion.
