Swapping one story for another
I found this podcaster so unintentionally ironic, that it was almost surreal. In a nutshell each episode argues that others have got it wrong about some issue ( often a complex issue), and his new narrative and perspective is right. He is a compelling and gifted story-teller / debater, but I was left with the feeling each podcast was a cautionary tale of hubris ( both initial protagonist and the podcasting antagonist) and the wisdom of humility when viewing complex issues. Nevertheless, the series were beautifully produced, and as mentioned the podcaster is a beguiling and persuasive narrator.

Proof that not every BBC podcast needs to be made with a comedian present. Engaging, thought provoking and essential listening.

It’s hard to know what each episode is going to cover from the description. But if you are happy to take a chance and stick with it through the first 5 minutes or so, you’ll be richly rewarded with an eclectic but fascinating series of podcasts. Well edited - no padding - thought provoking.
