Signals Great, Chapter Tactics Lacking
SIGNALS = Great! CHAPTER TACTICS = Not great. FLG Crew, I really enjoy your work in the Podcast realm. Reese, Frankie and Jason are fun to listen to. They aren't the MOST professional on air, but it's entertaining. Biggest complaint is your audio levels. Some people sound okay, others sound poor, NO ONE is balanced, and EVERYONE sounds quiet. Please listen to a finished episode and compare it to other quality podcasts (Forge the Narrative, Independent Characters) to compare how you sound to these other content providers. Signals from the Front Line gets 4-1/2 Stars. Chapter Tactics however....Pablo, you got some work cut out for you. One Star for Chapter Tactics. I LOVE the concept of the show. I've been subscribing and (attempting to) listen since you branched out and started doing your own thing. What you need to do though is listen to the really professional guys like Forge the Narrative, Independent Characters, and The Best General, and emulate them. You ramble a lot, and sometimes I just turn your podcast off before I even get to the point of the show. Please make an effort to minimize your own flavor content, and come prepared for your own show. If not, at least edit out the sub-par stuff. The listeners only hear what you allow us to hear. If you want us to hear, "Yeah, I've been told I'm not prepared for the show, so I came prepared for the show this time, with stats and this and that and ya-da-yada-yada..." keep those comments in the show. Otherwise, don't bother saying them, or edit them out so us, the listeners, aren't distracted by comments that don't otherwise need to be in the show. Focus on describing an event, rather than just remarking how good it was multiple times. Tell us once, then describe to us WHY it was so good. I love that you talk about events out there, but keep comments focused and avoid rambling. Refrain from comments like, "well I WAS gonna do this for the show, but this happened, so I'm instead going to do this..." Comments like that are completely unnessesary and take away from the professionalism of the show. 1) Stop rambling. Your train of thought jumps tracks way too often, and you resort to saying catch phrases like, "but anyway..." to bring yourself back on track. 2) Stop giving excuses. You always say, "I WAS GONNA do X, but Y came up, so we're doing Z this episode..." then you give us ten minutes why Reese is so busy he can never make it on the show. We don't care. Provide content, move on. No excuses. 3) Edit yourself. You want to provide quality content? Listen to yourself and edit out the tangents and excuses. We don't need 15 minutes of rambling nonsense before we get to the real meat and potatoes of the show. 4)Check your sound levels. You suffer from the same poor audio quality that Signals from the Frontline suffers from. Please compare your audio to other podcasts and correct the problem. 5) Stop the coloquialisms and echoing the Internet groupthink. You're above that...if you want to be. Don't assume your listeners know what's hip and cool in the 40k scene, and don't act like you're too cool for school when talking about what's cheesy, or which faction is the worst, or what's breaking the game. Keep a cool, professionalism about things. I love the concept of your show, but the execution is lacking. I know you have the ability, but after 50 episodes, it's still hard to listen to you.Read full review »

It’s a fun show, very informative. Go team Jason and Mariana and those other two hangers on called Frank and Robin I think.
