Really absorbing. I could see this working really well as a TV series or a YouTube channel. Don’t think I’d swap the podcast format for anything, though.

Really enjoyed listening. Only criticism is preferred previous music. It added more gravitas to serious subjects. However a very minor point of view and entirely subjective. Keep up the good work

The Podcast is an extremely informative dive into uk rail crashes. I am a listener from all the way down in Australia and I can’t recommend this enough.

It really is an excellently researched and presented show, but there is too much music and it goes on for far too long. Fine little snippets as bumpers between sections, but I find myself having to jump through great sections of music on every episode.

I’d often heard about these railway accident’s but hadn’t understood how and why they occurred. These podcasts provide great incite into how the railway works with the root causes, the critical moments that caused the accidents and the learnings taken to prevent them from happening again....Read full review »

Such a great podcast. It would be so easy to be sensationalist about this topic but the podcast stays true to the facts and is really well researched and informative. Such a great balance of telling us what happened, why it happened and the steps taken after to try and prevent future accidents...Read full review »

The host cleverly uses carefully chosen words and music to bring dry, technical historical and contemporary railway accident reports to life. Demonstrating time and again that accidents rarely happen by accident. Illustrating how they arise from seemingly trivial oversights, short-cuts or a lack...Read full review »

After I started listening to this podcast a couple of days ago, it is rapidly becoming one of my favourites. Each episode does a dive into a major railway crash in the UK, looking at what happened, the investigation that follows, and how it changed things going forward. The podcast is clearly...Read full review »

Dan, thanks for taking the time to run us through these. Like yourself, I’m in the industry, and the recent ones are a part of my life learning and moments. The older accidents should also not be forgotten and both new and old are a great source of learning. I like the way they are put together,...Read full review »

Always thoughtful and respectful to each incident. The explanation of how a disaster unfolds and how railway safety learnt or sometimes didn’t learn each time are fantastic.

A nice balanced look at what can be a very complex and jargon-ridden subject. Highly recorded listening.

A great podcast for anyone with an interest in railways and what can go wrong- really well produced and captivating content listened to most of the episodes in just a few days!

Sounds boring, right? Only because you haven’t listened. When things go wrong, it’s in spite of tens of thousands of smart people who really care doing their best for generations to make rail travel perfectly safe. When it still goes wrong, the reasons are fascinating.
