Like in the US, the accent is even different by the región. I know Mexicans who can’t understand Cubanos who can’t understand Spaniards who can’t understand Venezueleaos and the Spanish in central Bogota Colombia is COMPLETELY differently pronounced than the costeño Spanish in Cartagena. This is a way for beginners to learn vocabulary and could easily be understood by a typical native Spanish speaker.”
