“Maybe it's because as I'm writing this we have a reality tv star president. Maybe it's my own stage training. Or maybe it's because daddy lied to me about Santa Claus. But I just don't buy it. This seems manufactured from the midnight oil of budding young writing interns and the college try of their improviser friends. The pepper spray narrator sounded 30 tops and was supposedly 50, her delivery obviously coached. Everything has a ring of falseness pushed through with an enlightenment agenda. everything about this show is heavily produced in that This American Life mold that gets away from the freeform opportunity podcasting can be, let alone this show's own premise of real stories by anonymous people. It looks like the creators have been listening to Chris Gethard's REAL real talk hidden identity show Anonymous/Beautiful. Listen to that instead. As it stands, Sincerely X is beyond disappointing and I hope that it goes away so as not to inspire more false truths in podcasting. You can quote me on that and put my picture next to it.”Read full review »

“As if I couldn't be more into TED! This is a great and absolutely necessary podcast. Ideas are still worth spreading even if the speaker chooses to remain anonymous!”Read full review »

“Ads at the beginning & end are acceptable. I get it, monetizing a podcast is important but an ad smack dab in the middle of a story that has you on edge is ridiculous. Completely ruins the mood! If episodes continue like this, I'll focus my listening on other podcasts.”Read full review »
