Silindile Pearl Mhlongo was born and raised in Umlazi (KZN). She obtained her LLB degree from the University of Cape Town whereafter she served articles and was retained as an associate at Adams & Adams. During her tenure as an associate Silindile made a decision to temporarily leave practice and teach English in China.
