Great pod; informative, funny & full of tips on the sitcom that I’m never getting round to write. These lads really know what they’re talking about.

Absolutely incredible show, so thorough, comprehensive, entertaining, and insightful. If you’re into comedy this is a must listen.

I love these guys! Listening to this podcast gets my mind spinning and helps me understand not just sitcoms, but stories in general.

If learning how sitcoms work from the writing and production side is what you look for in a podcast, this show won't disappoint. James and Dave clearly have a passion for the art form, and that shows in every discussion, whether they're talking about the history of a specific show, their...Read full review »

Excellent show, helpful, informative and good to listen to. If you’re interested in writing comedy or, in fact writing for TV or Radio at all in the UK then this is essential listening. Thanks.

A solid show. Plain and simple

Literally nothing to review. Although your episodes look great, nothing will play or download after a few weeks of being subscribed to your show. I gave it a week or two at first, but now it’s wasting my time. Although there is no zero-star rating available, I’ll have to rate it as such here...Read full review »

I love this podcast. It really helps to spur me on when I’m knee deep in avoidance, like this morning when I listened to an ep and then thought of a bunch of new ideas for my project, which made me think to write this review!

Have really enjoyed this podcast since discovering it. It doesn't always rely on having a great guest to be incredibly informative and entertaining. All of the advice can be applied to the Australian/New Zealand comedy scene, of which I belong. Keep up the great work!Read full review »

A really informative podcast from people who have been involved in some very successful (UK) sitcoms. Incredible how much effort goes into writing one. And has frequent interviews with other writers.

A must listen for any aspiring comedy writer. A podcast the covers the nuances of writing with depth, humor and the occasional long-winded yet informative anagram! Thank You and keep up the good work

James and Dave (let's not forget Katie!) are doing a great job. The episodes are both interesting and informative and refreshingly light in tone - rather in keeping with the subject matter.Read full review »

I could listen to Dave and James all day talking about sitcoms. While the podcast is aimed at aspiring writers I find I get plenty out of it and I have no intention of writing a sitcom at all. It gives you a good insight into how the shows are put together and makes you think about them in a...Read full review »

I was very excited to read that James Cary and Dave Cohen, two people well worth listening to on comedy matters, were producing a sictom podcast. The result is pretty well invalauble if you're trying to write and a marvellous geek-fest if you're just a sitcom fan.Read full review »

Sitcom Geeks is a great breakdown of the art of writing sitcoms - primarily, but the comments are well worth investigating no matter what type of writing you do. The only downside is that they only release new episodes every other week.

These can't come round soon enough for me. Well they could, but maybe that's just me. Or is it? Surely there's enough stuff out there to also have an excellent weekly show about all things sitcom? The guests and topics have been spot on and the live event listings are a good idea....Read full review »

I was alive with excitement to discover this podcast, you even had me with the theme tune! Both of you deliver exactly what this budding writer needs to hear, in a lovely way. I just hope that this podcast continues, and doesn't dwindle out, as I for one am lapping it up! Keep on keeping on...Read full review »
