Complex and incisive *airhorn*
I heard Jamie guest spot on Rude Tales of Magic and immediately had to know more about her work. Jamie’s podcast persona organizes and structures the episodic narratives of internet history so as to produce a discourse in which form and content cohere. Put another way: the internet may seem like an ocean of swirling currents producing one main character after another almost at random, but the reason why it is all so compelling is the combined premise of firm personal positionality combined with a vast landscape of interrelationality. Jamie’s instincts towards deep curiosity as well as both empathy and disgust result in a rigorous critique vindicating the dissolution of “objective” journalistic practice. More simply: I love this podcast. It makes me long even more for twitter circa 2015.
