Can’t be legitimately clever? USE AN AIR HORN!
The show is well-researched and fun but the host seems to think she’s being clever by (more than) occasionally blasting an air horn effect as if it’s a laugh track. It was rather funny once. Since then it has become incredibly annoying, especially as it’s happening almost constantly now, and detracts from the intelligence of the show she’s trying to deliver.

Despite being about characters who’ve launched a thousand takes each, every episode has new, smart, moving insights I’ve never thought of before. Interviews! Weird body stuff! Jokes! I love it.

Yessssss I needed a podcast by someone who is on the internet at least as much as I am! I love revisiting these stories and learning about the ones I missed. The Boston Slide cop and Chicken Man episodes are a highlight! Oh and the theme song is amazing and gets stuck in my head every time.

I was so excited for this pod and it did not disappoint!! As usual, Jamie approaches her subject matter with empathy, nuance, humour, and great research. Can’t wait to hear more!
