David Plotz thinks he is objective
But he is really a knee jerk apologist for liberalism. His constant exhortations about how fair minded he is while he takes swipes at progressives seems self hating and unnecessary. Exhausting to listen to and it is annoying the number of assumptions he makes about the listeners and how little he thinks of us. Emily Bazelon is the saving grace. John Dickerson tends to live in the same bubble as David.

More reviews of Slate Daily Feed
In recent months all of the news I digest just seems to leave me with tense shoulders, shallow breathing, and jangled nerves. Slate gabfests are something I still look forward to and drink up like a tonic to all that ails me in the media. Keep them flowing!

i like slate, and sometimes i love it. seems smart, funny and sophisticated to me, but others seem to see smart alec. i see a variety of intelligent and witty writers, others see high school in-crowd exclusivity. i guess your emotional iq will make the call for you.

This podcast is fantastic. They're fun, short, infomative, and well produced. The only problem is that at 5-10 minutes each, I want more than one a day!Read full review »
