Gabfest is one of my top must-hear podcasts
I'm a political news junkie. I think Slate in general, and the Gabfest crew specifically, to be among the most honest, concise, dead-on news sources. Their opinions truly range from the right, left, and center. Far from pseudo-intellectuals, the Gabfest crew offers up the facts, some of their own opinions, but most often allow the listener to come to their own conclusions. Nice use of self-depreciating humor. Great show. My life is a little less enjoyable if I don't get to hear the Gabfast weekly.Read full review »

Slate podcasts are simply superb. I equate them with pieces in my two favorite print magazines: The New Yorker and Walrus.

The Gab Fest is at it's best when its regulars (Emily Bazelon, John Dickerson & David Plotz) are on hiatus. Unless they take a hike, the whole show should get the yank.
