Pesca was the best of Slate
Mike Pesca always encouraged thoughtful discourse and nuanced debate. These are things that drew me to Slate in the first place and made me an early Slate Plus subscriber. Now Slate seems more concerned with promoting a single, dogmatic point of view rather than robust, diverse discussion. I’ve cancelled my Slate Plus membership until you bring back Mike.

I find myself completely disagreeing with all the anti-gabfest reviewers. I love Andy Bowers, but some intelligent, light-hearted banter is always a nice reward at the end of a week.

is a nice try, but not quite there. Mike Pesca in particular is wrong on a lot of facts, but is so supremely confident of himself that no one challenges him.
