Great writing, great discussions
As one who doesn't get much uncommitted time in front of a computer (I'm at my desk all day, but working rather than browsing) I've been delighted that each week a few of Slate Magazine's well-written, insightful, and often amusingly acerbic articles can make their way to my ears rather than my eyes. The articles chosen for podcasting offer an interesting array of topics and writers. Unlike some other commenters, I also greatly enjoy the "gabfest" discussion podcasts. I just wish the two were separated -- I would much rather be able to subscribe to the gabfests through one feed (or one for the Cultural Gabfest and one for the Political Gabfest), and have the articles come through a separate podcast feed. This is based on sheer greed -- I would rather really have one article posted every day, rather than losing some days to the gabfests. Keep up the great work, Slate staffers!Read full review »

I've been listening to this podcast for years and it's a great supplement to regular newspapers.
