“I listened to the first episode and I've been a dedicated listener ever since. The 3 hosts sound very smart and well-informed. They have developed good chemistry between themselves since the beginning. (At the outset I was afraid that Felix Salmon might be too dominant, but they generally have a pretty good, balanced discussion.)
Although I don't know a whole lot about finance, they present topics in layman's terms. Plus they throw in alot of extra information off-topic that is very educational. For example, in one show Felix described the structure of the Sears company, which was interesting and made me want to do more research after the show was over.
The hosts generally fall in with my own views, such as lamenting the acceleration of wealth inequality, the growing number of super-rich, and the lack of accountability in the giant banks. Cathy O'Neil is part of the Occupy Wall Street movement.
Overall, an informative show that makes me feel smart! :o) But seriously I feel like they help expand my horizons by discussing business and finance topics. Highly recommended!
The only weird thing is the day that the show comes out - I usually get new episodes Saturday morning. Which is not really the day of the week I'd choose for this kind of podcast.”Read full review »
