Money and Morality
This is a good addition to the mix of Slate podcasts I listen to during the week, but so far falls short of the topic and perspective diversity that keeps me coming back to other Slate podcasts. After three episodes, I already feel too much like I know what to expect, and am thinking "Slate Money and Morality" could be a more apt title. I would like to hear conversations on a broader range of topics, including those of academic or "how the world works" interest that may not have (or need) an obvious hook to themes like financial-sector (over)compensation, income inequality, consumer protection, the game being rigged, etc. These are good and important themes to explore, but through the first three episodes the exploration has been so consistent that it borders on a one-note performance.Read full review »

But i HAD to withold one. The panelists are all very good and the podcast is lighthearted which is necessary given the subject--but, I noticed after the week Felix was gone that the show moved more smoothly--without (sorry Felix) Felix's too oft interruptions. I listen to a lot of podcasts, and I’m reasonably sophisticated in the world of business and investing, and I always learn something on Slate Money. It is 3x the depth and quality of Marketplace. Always interesting and thoughtful, I would highly recommend this podcast.
