Strangly Relevant
My thanks to Slate for a deep dive into an piece of American history I lived through, but was too young to properly analyze and contextualize at the time it was happening. The events of of the early 90's described in this podcast have echoes in our current climate. It's worth a listen to anyone perplexed by the more recent instances of white supremecy, religous fanaticism, or the sovereign citizen's movement.Read full review »

Professionally done, well investigated and interviewed. Easy to get through since it’s short too. This was a big precursor to the Waco standoff and why the govt reacted to that as they did, so I found it doubly interesting.

Entire podcast was not about Ruby Ridge, it was all a set up for a personal agenda piece. The last 30 seconds are all about how the alt right has seeped into the right wing. Done pretty well through most of it, but just could not resist the opportunity to make it political.

Odd
It is an odd time in American history to create a podcast sympathetic to white supremacists.
