Brilliant, bright, warm, intelligent
The perfect comfort-listen when you want something that knows its mind, but knows it over a cup of tea and a biscuit. Gently conversational but never shying away from depth, Slightly Foxed is like a conversation with your most intelligent friend—thoughtful and full of new ideas, but never talking down to you or asking you to drop literary names with aplomb. The podcast has just been getting better with time—The Winter’s Tale episode is my absolute favorite, with a new takeaway each time; I’m listening to A Writer’s Territory now and love that too. Brilliant guests, brilliant podcast.

Insightful, at length discussion of Barbara Pym. Plenty of reading suggestions. A delight. APP

Inviting; stimulating; a companionable encouragement to persevere in reading widely and well. The first episode has already added some newcomers to my “to read” list, and I’m very much looking forward to future instalments. You will, too.

Great Podcast, it’s 10:53am in Australia and I’m sitting in the patio under a deep green umbrella...a balmy 26 degree morning, the wine is chilling and I’m reading poetry. So many interesting books that have been mentioned in the magazine and the podcast is like a friendly chat.
