Love this podcast so much am currently re-listening to all the episodes. Special thanks to an all female publishing company who are open minded about male writers! (Even white ones)

I’m so pleased I stumbled across Slightly Foxed! I’m catching up randomly on past episodes and already looking forward to January. A delightful podcast where there is erudition and enthusiasm and fun. Each episode is sending me off in so many reading directions. Thank you!

Wonderful conversation about Ronald Blythe. Many associate him with ‘Akenfield’, but I suspect most know little about the man himself or any of his other work. I could listen to these podcasts all night - they are so enjoyable.

I eagerly await every episode and have been listening since the very beginning of your podcast. I became acquainted with Slightly Foxed through Readers’ Day years ago and have loved your publications, your books, your podcast and your staff. I especially enjoyed this episode about Jean Rhys. ...Read full review »

I don’t like podcasts generally but I absolutely love this podcast. I started with the Slightly Foxed magazine so completely and though I’d try it. I’m glad I’ve come to it late because there are so many to catch up on. I highly recommend this to anyone who loves books, talking about books,...Read full review »

I simply can not find a more delightful literary podcast out there. I subscribe to their quarterly, and gift myself their books every Christmas. Absolutely gutted these will become less frequent - this is by far my favourite book podcast. It creates such a wonderful atmosphere. I often listen to this on walks, and typically find myself finishing those walks in a bookshop! I’m glad that the podcast is still continuing though (even if less...Read full review »

As an ex-pat Brit living and presently stuck in Japan due to the pandemic, this podcast is glorious! The beautiful speaking voice of the lady hosting the podcast is such a pleasure to listen to. I know it was not SF’s opinion, but it was a bit offensive hearing your interviewee refer to the “tragedy “ of Hughes” life and his reference to “a certain kind of American feminist “. The real tragedy surely belongs to the women who were affected by him which led to their suicides. This kind...Read full review »

Presently sat early morning, familiar mug in hand, and ache in my heart, the grey veil of wildfire smoke obliterating all but what’s within fifty feet of my window.
