I know it was not SF’s opinion, but it was a bit offensive hearing your interviewee refer to the “tragedy “ of Hughes” life and his reference to “a certain kind of American feminist “. The real tragedy surely belongs to the women who were affected by him which led to their suicides. This kind of careless reframing of women’s tragedies is pervasive and disturbing. Your interviewee needs to check his prejudices.
