The cases in this podcast are told by the detectives who investigated them and this makes for a unique kind of storytelling. As non-law enforcement, Yardley makes sure the technical aspects are intelligible and brings a hefty dose of empathy and outrage where necessary. Dan and Dave bring their...Read full review »

Wow, why have I not found this podcast sooner? I really enjoy the candid discussions and how they don’t seem to glamorize the crime or the criminal. This is my new go-to for when I’m doing the dishes-I may have a clean kitchen yet, haha!

Dan and Dave, F both of you, you should be ashamed of yourself.

I’ve been stuck on this show for a while now, long enough to listen to every episode at least twice. I can’t get into any other true crime podcasts anymore. I love the show, thank you for telling your stories, giving your perspectives, finding amazing guests, and consistently putting out a...Read full review »

I actually do enjoy this podcast when they stay on point. The officers they have telling their individual stories are amazing. Down side, they rarely post a podcast, n of lately when they do; they are just telling stories of how Detective Dan and Yardley met each other. I find their story...Read full review »

I really started to love this show. Wishing there were more Dans and Dave’s out there. However, in the most recent episode (briefing room: in this case) I feel a little icky about some of their opinions on the use of force. Remember you picked this line of work, no one made you choose this...Read full review »

You’re BAAACK!! I SO missed the show, and all of you - with your joyful, familial banter - I can’t wait for the new season to unfold. Thank you for producing a podcast series set apart from the usual TC genre. There’s just so much more than entertainment .. I am learning a lot. On with the show!...Read full review »

But couldn’t. I love Paul holes and the detectives were interesting but the host’s voice is intolerable. Sounds like moaning Myrtle’s baby voice trying to tell me a story. Get the other host back or just a totally different host in general and maybe people would be more interested in listening

The entire team handles these tough events with care and empathy for the victims and their families. There is a balance of every emotion and the best way to handle these stressful experiences included. Outstanding writing and producing.

If you want to dive deep into serious investigations of serious crimes along with the investigators involved, you’re home now. I am a lover of true crime content. In my top five favorite crime podcasts. I like earlier seasons a lot better (was a great dynamic with Zibby), but more recent episodes are still good. I love to hear the opinions and questions from such a variety of law enforcement backgrounds, especially Paul Holes. This is what I’ve listened to almost every Saturday for 3 years now!

I am not sure how there is room for Paul holes and his ego in the room with you guys, but this guy is everywhere and he doesn't really add the type of storytelling to the podcast that I've been listening to all these time years. I would really love less of him. I would've also love it...Read full review »

Cops pretending they don’t just exist to protect rich people’s property making money off misery. Go help some kids instead of retelling stories you pieces of poop. And Lisa Simpson def doesn’t need the money so no idea why she’s involved in this filth other than a black heart

Police officers are squares who have no clue about the real world until about 10 years in , and by then they are too jaded to really benefit

This is not a comedian or True Crime fan telling you the stories. The detectives who investigated the crimes tell the stories. The result is that factual and emotional details compel and entrance us listeners. In that, this podcast is consistently unique. Edited to take away a star as the hosts...Read full review »

authentic people, no sensationalism, a lot of insight into what the police experience. True crime for sure but somehow I feel like I’m learning more in this one.

Any crime podcast that gives credibility to Paul Holes is almost criminally irresponsible. Holes’s “work” on the EAR task force led to dead ends and wasted resources. I love true crime stories, but especially ones that get solved and hearing details about how they were solved directly from the pros that solved them. (Think Forensic Files without the commercials.)
