Heard about it on the recent Conan Needs A Friend episode feat. Ed Helms (also very good episode)
The podcast is educating without being a lecture. Funny, entertaining and a great story.
I like the different views of so many people involved in the actual Able Archer 83 exercise, the spies, those who hunt them, those who uncover the whole thing decades later and all!
Reminds me of my childhood in West Germany in the 80's and the threat of nuclear annihilation on our doorstep
I at episode 6 at the moment, so not sure if t I is will come up in one of the last episodes.
There is a German TV Series... Deutschland '83 where the whole premise is built around the able Archer 83 exercise.
East German spy infiltrating the German Bundeswehr.gettung access to one of the main Generals as his Aide du Camp...etc.
Great stuff and good to watch as well.
But this podcast sure made me enjoy driving in this grim weather.
