With fire in their hands (or at least too much time), the gang decide to focus on what really matters in a band - the image.
Aided by Microsoft Paint and a love of daytime TV, the ever tricky task of creating an iconic logo and image is sorted in a matter of minutes, and in the process, the legend that is Frank Button is born...

Every epic needs its start, and so it is here. The Albany, a band that would go on to tickle the soles of the music world (or at least the one contained within the L13 postcode of Liverpool) form, bonding over congas, cheap weed and a militant obsession with The La's.
It's almost too hard to believe that this would within years lead to national airplay and offers of huge festivals, but there we are, such is the story of The Albany.

Liverpool's musical history is absolutely littered with 'could have beens' - artists that by all rights, and in a just universe, should have gone global, but for whatever reason, never quite made it over the line. For every Beatles or Lightning Seeds, there are countless bands who, despite doing everything right, just lacked that last bit of good fortune.
