A valuable podcast, with great advice and down to earth approach.
I’ve been loving listening to Gina and Valerie’s Podcast for a while now, and have gained so much from So You Want To Be A Photographer podcasts (can’t believe To Sir With Love literally just popped into my brain!!). ;) But I do feel like I’ve learnt so much from Gina and Valerie, not only from the technical and business aspects of photography, etc, but from their encouragement and down to earth nature that comes across in their approach. What actually inspired me to write today was reading Gina’s latest email, and it was this line, which read, "If you’re looking for instant gratification… open a jar of Nutella. If you’re looking for deeper and more meaningful life lessons then give gardening a go!” Ahhh… good ole Nutella. Gina’s favourite - but a lovely point to be made, and a great example of Gina’s wisdom. A reminder that things take time to grow and nurture, and it’s in that time, that things can and do develop. Then near the end of Gina's email, she finishes with a wonderful quote from Conrad Hall, “You are always a student, never a master. You have to keep moving forward.” That’s what I mean about down to earth… it’s infused in the podcasts, and in Gina’s emails, and I love that philosophy. Anyhow, I’m sure I’m not the only person who almost feels like I’m just sitting back listening in on a conversation between a couple of friends. There’s no pretence… just two people who love what they do and want to give back. So a big thank you Gina and Valerie. Love what you do, and many thanks, SusanRead full review »

I have been listening to your podcast for about 6 weeks now. I am a 58 yr old nana that has a fascination with taking photos. I have a canon d70 and my favourite lens is the 50mm, which I use to take head hand feet shots of my growing grandson. Keep up the great work and would appreciate any tips.

As someone who is just learning the art of photography, this podcast is very informative. Gina and Valerie are also very entertaining! I found the podcast about camera equipment and what lenses are most often used particularly informative. Well worth the listen!
