As someone who’s field uses ideas from psychology and sociology, I really like hearing scholars from other domains talk about there work. It seems like a good way to bump into useful concepts that I might not find in my usual reading.

I've heard the part with Richard Layed on Happiness Economics. It's actually the first time I rated something. It's so inspiring, I just remembered why I studied sociology and why social science are so important and there effect on society is so unterestimated. Thank you very much.Read full review »

Edmonds & Warburton’s Bites series are the best! I’ve been listening through this podcast’s archive, and I’m sad to note that Nigel Warburton has left the show, but the interviews are still great. I would love if there could be Bites for every discipline, frankly.

David and his highly knowledgeable guests are making sociology fun again! The wide variety of topics they cover and the personable way in which they deliver them had me hooked from my very first listen. Thanks for putting out such a great show David - keep up the great work!

What a useful, interesting, delightful, and engaging podcast for anybody who likes social science from the source, rather than as sensantionalized by the media.

Where else can you get the thoughts of the biggest names in social science in such a clean and thoughtful context in just 20 minutes? Answer: nowhere. This podcast is the best social science podcast out there!

I came to these almost by accident, via Philosophy Bites by Edmonds and Warburton. I've been studying literature and philosophy pretty seriously for awhile now, and questions that social science deals with come up constantly. These are great introductions to various branches of social...Read full review »
