Jamison and Dave are both the right mix of funny and serious. Great soft skill advice and how to common sense. Glad I finally get to listen to them.

I’m a few episodes in and I love the content. I physically cannot listen to these horrible audio levels anymore. It ranges wildly from speaking voices that are barely audible, to laughter or utterance that nearly blows out my speakers. I really hope they get this leveled out in future episodes...Read full review »

They give thoughtful advice that is clearly drawn from years of experience. I just wish they would cut to the chase more quickly because there’s a lot of dead time due to slow moving banter.

I’ve been blazing through these episodes - one after the next. It’s really unlike any other coding podcast I’ve heard. I appreciate that there is some technical talk, but the focus is really on how to deal with the day to day workload, interactions with coworkers, and how to make the best...Read full review »

This came up, and well, I was pleasantly surprised. I find myself relating to what Jamison and Dave are...Read full review »

Awesome mix of levity and poignant advice for situations we've all experienced, or have yet to experience, in the industry. That used my supply of $3 words, and I'll owe a $1 for the Oxford comma...Read full review »

Listening to episode 304 as my first episode. Feels like the content is great, but my feedback to the hosts is that you’re being a bit too silly and it’s making it hard to focus on the wisdom.

These two engineers are cheerful and give a good round perspective on a bunch of questions that very person in IT meets on the job. This show teaches culture and self-respect, and of course has lots of engineering the humor.

Half agony aunt, half career guidance, hosts Dave & Jamieson are here to help you navigate the squishier, more personal side of software engineering. I’m really glad that someone’s making this show - if you work in software there’s probably something for you in its episode archive 👍🏻
