“I’ve been an elementary school educator for 26 years. I was trained in “balanced literacy” and learned in 2018 that the three cueing model was disproven YEARS ago. Parents, we need you. Talk to your teachers, principals, school boards, and elected representatives. One administrator said at my former district (I quit three months ago because they’re still teaching with F & P), “the only way anything will change is if there is a lawsuit.” I am grateful to work at a new district that values the science of reading.
