So excited this is happening right now. Powerful podcast for an essential conversation.
I happened to open iTunes looking for a new podcast today and was immediately pulled to this, lucky it happened to be trending on the front page. I found Half The Sky for $1 at a bookstore last week—which has been turning my world inside out—and this podcast feels like a miraculous extension of that conversation on sex work and trafficking that is miraculously beginning right now. Episode one!! As a girl in my 20's, I really appreciate that Noor is my age and jumping head first into tackling such a huge conversation with humility and vulnerability and determination, connecting me to this issue even more deeply and reminding us we don't need to be experts with 30 years of experience to engage meaningfully in it today. Noor and her team are doing a stunning job at leading this inquiry with intimacy and genuine hunger to learn and create change. I can tell the team is excited to find new and interesting ways to engage with us and connect this conversation to our lives, and that makes this podcast stand out for me. The first episode is beautiful and compassionate and connected and I love that I feel Noor's humanity immediately in it, that we're sharing this journey with her as we step into it ourselves. I truly can't wait for the episodes and stories to come: this might just become a life changing ride. I'm in and I'm telling all my friends.Read full review »

You can hear the passion in her voice, and the way she storytells while somehow making the individuals voice the one you really listen to is profound. This is a fellow sister ready to really change the word, one podcast episode at a time.
