Getting Out of Bed When You Don't Have What It Takes w/ Dr. Alan Noble
Description
Every morning, we wake up and we have to decide: Are we going to get out of bed…or not? There are days when it all feels like too much; the trials and tribulations of this world seem insurmountable and the lure of staying in bed and hiding from everything and everyone looks like the only solution. Every solo parent has experienced this feeling of overwhelm and knows… we still have to do it. Our kids are depending on us. Their world can’t run without us. So, how do we get out of bed when we feel like we don’t have what it takes?
Our guest today is Dr. Alan Noble, an associate professor at Oklahoma Baptist University, and co-founder and editor-in-chief at Christ and Pop Culture. He has written for the Atlantic, Vox, The Gospel Coalition, Christianity Today, and First Things. He is the author of multiple books including the one we’re discussing today—” On Getting Out of Bed: The Burden and Gift of Living.”
