Clark gives in to the power of Kara's blue crystal and brings it to the fortress. After activating the crystal, Clark's biological mother, Lara, is back in the flesh. What's the catch? Clark is sabotaged with blue kryptonite, Lara looks at Lana once and calls her evil, and Chloe catches Lois taking Grant over his desk at the Daily Planet. Helen Slater (Supergirl, The Lying Game) makes her return as DC Comics original character Lara-El, Clark's Kryptonian mother.
