Narrator needs to let the story be the story
This is a Serial knock off, which isn't a bad thing. The first season of Serial was terrific so it is nice to have another podcast with a similar format. The problem here is the narrator's/writer's need to make the story about himself. A whole portion on how he agonized about doing this at all...his nightmare about being attacked by a bear...? Please stop. Tell the story and let the listener react. Remember the rule of telling a story is to show, not tell. Still it's great to hear from the witnesses and see how different an investigation unfolded 40 years ago.Read full review »
