Episode 16: Ross Robinson (Record Producer / Engineer / Rad Human)
Listen now
Description
Daniel P Carter speaks to record producer Ross Robinson, an innovator with a unique approach to making albums, who has recorded the likes of The Cure, Slipknot, Blood Brothers, Korn, Glassjaw, Norma Jean, Limp Bizkit, Klaxxons, Cancer Bats, Red Fang, Headwound City etc etc. His outlook / approach to making albums is a spiritual and esoteric one that has produced some groundbreaking albums that altered the course of heavy music as a whole. Sound quality on this one may be a little quiet because even though I EQ'ed out some of the background noise, I found that if I raised the levels too much the sound of the sea and assorted background became quite intrusive, so get your headphones on and enjoy... The painting I made of Ross for the cover was actually my second attempt, the other one seemed to have lost its way a bit, but I think this one sums it up well. Shout out to Monkeybird for helping this one come about. Also shout out to Carl. Carl is cool. As always, a review on iTunes is greatly appreciated...
