Helping To Connect
I think as human beings, it’s only natural to have an opinion about bands, musicians and even people. Sometimes we won’t understand the effort that goes into a project or how much passion, time, effort etc can go into something like an album or a painting. Listening to SWIM gives you a genuine connection to the guest on such a human level. For me personally, I’ve found myself being more understanding than say, a gut response to ‘just the music out of context’ towards these talented folks and their life directions after hearing their personal stories. I’ve discovered some incredible bands I’ve (crazily) never thought to look into before (Baroness for example) and to top it all off, Daniel P. Carter is such a great host, it’s like sitting round a table with friends and hearing snippets of their life. Wonderful stuff, highly recommend.
