I listen to LOTS OF TRUE CRIME. I love everything from AUDIO CHUCK. Season 1 I binged in one day… I’ve never felt more VALIDATED and UNDERSTOOD I’ve never heard of anyone else experience what I went through mine and Sarah’s stories are kind of similar except I had NO support. I was told time and...Read full review »

This podcast used to be so wonderful. The last few seasons have been absolutely horrific and have given extremely problematic people a platform to look for sympathy. As a listener it is extremely anger inducing to listen to. So why would I listen? I have removed this show from my favorites and...Read full review »

So my question to the creators of the podcast is why is Sarah leaving her young child so often for all these adventures as she calls them with the parents that she says messed up her life? That really should be addressed

You really failed not putting a trigger warning for animal abuse.

Recently discovered this series on accident, started on season 19. Decided to start from the beginning after. Love the story telling, but that trigger warning is no joke. (First time I’ve ever actually appreciated a TW). Find myself physically shaking at moments realizing I myself have a story to...Read full review »

Enjoy the show, however, the very long introduction, as placement and endings make it hard to give 5.

Very good story wise but toooo many Comercial breaks.

Because of this podcast I now have a better understanding of what red flags to watch out for and why they’re problematic.

Its becoming a bit repetitive and the whole "Trump" supporter..."so you know what their like" angle is just nauseating. Just because someone is a bad person doesn't mean they fall into a political category.Read full review »

This used to be an excellent podcast with interesting stories that had you excited to binge each episode. To push out so many great seasons is exceptionally impressive. Sadly this hasn’t been the case for the past few seasons, and recent reviews reflect this. Hopefully the feedback that is being...Read full review »

What a great gal! I would like to be friends with her…I believe in ignorance is bliss as well…I just wanted to thank Mar, and her story! Agree with other reviews here that S19 is just word salad. I fast forward thru most of e1 because it was family going over and over again about Amy’s qualities/personality. I didn’t make it thru e2 before I gave up. Agree that better editing needs to happen and actually build a story. Good luck’

Season 17- Leslie knowingly allowed someone with road rage, protective orders against them, and a history of lying and anger issues to babysit her toddler alone after only months of knowing him. On this show there are so many “I’m not a conservative, I hate Trump, so when I saw this man on Tinder with tattoos and 3 baby manas but was a great dad, and who wasn’t a Republican, I knew it was meant to be” beginnings to the entirely predictable end. If you’re that kind of woman, you’ll...Read full review »

I have listened to all 19 seasons of SWW. I have empathized and cried with some of the stories and firmly believe that victims voices should be heard. What has unfortunately turned me off, is the slow bleed of extreme stereotypes for those who do not share the same viewpoints as the victims on...Read full review »

I will always listen to this podcast but season 19 Sarah allowing her “man” to beat a dog to a pulp in front of her and carrying on with a relationship… talk about allowing a monster to remain a monster. I think it’s insensitive and slightly appalling the way you represent women in your latter seasons. I’m 47 and I’ve lived through a lot. You don’t empower women by continually showing their weaknesses and rarely showing their triumphs. How about producing differently. Start with the triumphs lead...Read full review »

Good stories but the episodes drag out and lack content. Lots of ads, rambling conversations that should have been edited.

I don’t leave any reviews. But I appreciate the creator of this podcast and I feel she deserves the feedback. I felt informed and warned by the first couple seasons. Theme song has got to go and take the poor audio with it. If witnesses need to phone in their stories, please invest in a better way to record their testimony especially if it’s going to be told over and over. I don’t get they hype whatsoever.

I find the subjects to be well chosen, but there seems to be a lot of repetition from episode the episode with a little moving the story forward to keep you coming back, which unfortunately doesn’t have a ton of appeal for me.
