Painful audio, predictable
I have to say I’m drawn to stories about narcissism and emotional abuse because I experienced it. I know firsthand how a strong independent woman can be broken down. I knew as soon as she started talking about the texts with Kimi that it was her fiancé. Narcissists are very devious and enjoy the games. Mine once told me he didn’t do anything without an ulterior motive then tried to play it off as a joke. I knew in that moment it was true. Have no sympathy for him. That’s what they count on to manipulate and destroy you emotionally. It’s too bad they didn’t take the time to improve the audio and make an important story for all women, especially young women, more enjoyable to experience.

It seemed like they were building up to something bigger, but it was just a douchey guy doing douchey guy things. Not a podcast worthy story and not done...Read full review »

I also was irritated that when ever a term was defined (abuser, liar, narcissist) all were...Read full review »

I love that the series tackles emotional abuse and its warning signs. I love that the host treats the subject’s experience with respect and dignity. And maybe it’s just a symptom of having more life experience than Sara, maybe it’s that the bar for dramatic storytelling is set really high... but...Read full review »
