Cautionary 5 star
This podcast is really interesting. If you play or record in any capacity it's inspiring to hear how other musicians flesh out out their parts and contribute to the end result...you hear the song writer let the original concept become what it needs to be... Music lovers that aren't burdened with comparing themselves to everything they hear (see above) get to hear a musician explain the ideas, sounds, collaborative feedback and, sometimes (if you're lucky), mic placement of a congo drum... That being said, the latest live recording was a departure... I honestly hope Hutch Harris had to pay MaxFun a lot of money to get on the show, otherwise it's a huge departure for Hrishikesh. Keep em humble please (from yet another douche fan... Love your show though)Read full review »

This is fantastic. Good sound, unique and engaging dialogue, good inside look at songs. The Spoon episode is the best!

What a stellar start to an awesome new podcast. I can’t wait to learn more about the artists and songs that will be featured in the future.

Very well done, the sound design is spot on and the intermingling of technical and human story details adds a lot.
