Seriously, it’s no joke. I loved EVERY second of this podcast. It’s clever, dry, witty and fun. I’m not even from Canada. Cheers to everybody who was involved — it’s brilliant and wonderful and brought a lot of joy and laughter into my life. THANK YOU!!!

Sweet, like a Canadian buttertart! With raisins!

The premise was cute but the writing was clunky. 8 episodes could have easily been just 1, maybe 2. Narration and character voices were great, but it couldn’t make up for the script. The repetition of the full name of each person and place got to be annoying, along with the recaps at the...Read full review »

So funny and charming. Love all the jokes about Canadiana. Leaves you wanting more episodes.

Brings back memories of watching imported Canadian sitcoms of the 80’s and 90’s for this American. Has that same charm that pulls you in and wraps you in flannel. Mind the bears though. And the moose.

Enjoyable, funny, quirky and I wish this series would go on forever!!!

No spoilers — not just about the central mystery of the plot. More importantly, no spoilers please about the wonderful 77-minute long post-series episode, after the 8-episode story finishes. It’s a wonderful experience to hear the whole story knowing nothing about how the show was made or who...Read full review »

It’s like the base idea for “Only Murders in the building” run through a “Letterkenny” ChatGPT but boring. And with worse accents.

I am a True North Strong and Free Card Carrying Canadian living in the US. I loved listening to this FUN and Mysterious WHO DONE IT. The references made me so homesick - Butter Tarts! Smarties ! Ketchup Chips! (Americans don’t know what they’re missing eh?) I pride myself on figuring out “WHO...Read full review »

The ads are longer than the episodes. Stop listening after the 4th episode.

I am head over heels in love with this podcast. I’m not even exaggerating. I was hooked at first listen and quickly binged through it, laughing and nodding in agreement all along. Your Canada Day episode was really great and made me immediately want to relisten, which I did and then again. It’s...Read full review »

A sweet, quirky murder mystery set in small town Ontario. Excellent voice acting, with fun, over-the-top characters. Occasionally a little nasty in the mockery of rural/small town people, in the way that someone who moved to the metropolis 20 years earlier and never quite matured is apt to be,...Read full review »

The most Canadian fiction podcast ever! Hockey fans, you gotta listen to this. Murder/mystery fans? You gotta suffer through it, eh? Have a dart, and maybe a stubbie, to help get you through.

Meh
Couldn’t get into it. Struggled to the end and realized I had no idea what was happening. Relistened to ep 5 and gave up.

I’ve only just started but I’m a big fan. This show has a super-polished sound, and I love the episode length which is just right for a mid-day pick me up. Love to see the clever work of fellow Canucks just as much as I love a good murder mystery. I for one am not sorry about the murder at all!

This is a brilliantly wry audio drama that expertly parodies the crime/investigation genre while embracing the unique quirks of Canadian social mores. What sets this show apart is how it takes its genre seriously, allowing the story's content to subtly and consistently parody it. This...Read full review »

I really enjoyed the podcast. It was relatable to my Canadian heritage. It brought me back to childhood memories. Cheers!

One of the best narrated fiction podcasts I’ve ever heard. So funny and the monotone canadianism of the narrator keeps the show silly, cozy through all the MURDER. It’s a breezy, silly, fargoofy time. Love it!

Great little podcast. I’m from the small town of Wawa and understand these call back references, was a good laugh and hope to hear more.

If you’re Canadian you will understand more of the humour but if you’re not you will also like it. Hope there is a season 2.

Love this show. The delivery and storyline are subtle and nuanced. If you like British sitcoms, Arrested Development, Trailer park Boys, Parks and Rec, I think that you will like this show too. Looking forward to hearing more.

I love most things Canadian and this podcast Is no exception. Hailing from rural Wisconsin, I’m loving the dialogue and depiction of small town communities. I’ll be sad when it’s finished!

Agree with the one star review. The narrator is flat, the background noises are offputting and add no texture to the story. Instead, they’re loud and distracting. I’ve really tried to listen to this three times and the story is dry. Not dry in terms of humor, but in the sense that it is not...Read full review »
