“As a long-time listener of the original Cane and Rinse podcast, I was always going to give this one a try. So far the show has provided a truly eclectic mix of video game music, ranging from games released decades ago to modern titles like Dark Souls and Red Dead Redemption.
The show, which runs for about 45-60 minutes, is structured around three rotating members of the Cane and Rinse crew who each introduce three tracks which they personally enjoy or find interesting in some way.
The reality is that you probably won't enjoy all of the tracks selected, simply due to the level of variety. However, this also means that you might discover a game soundtrack (or even a game you'd like to try playing) that you would otherwise never have experienced.
I strongly recommend that anyone with even a passing interest in video game music give this show a chance. Perhaps the best aspect of the show so far has been its capacity to highlight interesting or underrated music from games that aren't considered 'good' or mainstream.
Keep up the great work guys, thumbs up from me!”Read full review »
