Rose colored glasses without 20/20 vision
I just discovered this podcast and I really like it, but it gives me pause (keep in mind I've only listened to 4 episodes so far). There's no doubt a market for this type of conent but it fails to talk about to foster positivity in a environment that has dienfrachised and continues to dienfranchise people for trivial reasons (sexuality, race, gender, etc). Harking back to my headline — rose colored, it's positiy and hopeful, but seems to lack clarity in the environment in which it resides — one of discrimination, hate speech, a rise in pre-civial rights discrimintory behavior, etc. It's almost as if this podcast was designed for people that have the privilage to be apolitical, apathetic towards real struggles, or have the privilage not to be emotionally in a realworld sense by all the negativity build up in the US and across the world. But like I said, ultimately I like this but it seems to be lacking selfawareness. I hope to update at a later time with a better outlook once I've gone through more podcasts episodes.Read full review »
