“My 3yo son LOVES Sparkle Stories, and has actually spent the better part of a day(s) listening to them. We relate daily life lessons back to the stories he's heard. Two weeks ago, he collected all of the adults in the family and made them sit around his story candle so he could tell them a 10-minute-long story, and that's an idea he built from listening to Sparkle Stories.
These are stories you can trust to soothe and teach your children. You don't have to *worry* about their appropriateness, the message, the pacing of the story. The characters are engaging and well-developed, responsible and respectful. They are role models, and your children will want to emulate them. The stories will encourage children to build patience, listening, and community care-taking skills--they are not your typical wordy, fast-paced, flashy cartoon stories.
Children stretch their brains by creating images in their imaginations when hearing a story, and language is built and reinforced further when they can watch the lips of the person speaking the words.
We are huge, huge fans. We love Sparkle Stories so much we actually tell strangers about them in restaurants and the grocery store. The family who creates them come from a Waldorf-informed tradition, and their approach is backed up by years and years with kids in the classroom, in their living room, and in their community. David and Lisabeth know what kids need to hear, and how to create a beautiful, loving atmosphere for your child to bask in and think about--and they know how to create platforms for positive family discussion and interaction through the story themes.
