A cynical look at fun comics
This show is either... A review show that looks at comics released months ago through the eyes of fans who are not easily satisfied and overly reminiscent of their personal creative glory days of the Spider-man. Quite often will they make assumptions and predictions that are presented as fact, such as "I know this character will die" or "this creator is only trying to do X." and quite often are these assumptions are either false or misguided. Their review system sometimes boils down to overused remarks found on the internet such as "utter crap" or "epic fail." The podcast will also cover news but rarely has anything nice to say about recent events. They will also take a "look back" at comics from decades ago, which involves the elder panelist talking about how terrible comics in the early 90's were while insulting his wife. The panelists will then "hit up" (a phrase used by the host in almost every episode around twenty times) message board questions from their website. The questions are from the same board members every month and therefore lack a sense of variety. Panelists are usually asked about vampires, clones, literature, other comics or Norman Osborn. The host also has a hard time reading some of the questions aloud, as he goes through them very fast and ends up making at least three freudian slips an episode. Most of these are not complaints, but observations of things that can get tiring after a while. Brad is good spirited but absent minded at critical moments. Stella is smart and witty but concerned mostly with other comics. Kevin can come across as being a know-it-all but has a good voice for radio. I like Michael a lot, he's one of my favorite voices in comic podcasting. J.R. is mostly too apathetic to contribute anytthing modern and Zach tries way too hard to be funny. I like Spider-Man, and I want to like this show more. Not quite (Zach voice) "epic fail," but not yet (Michael voice) "freaking awesome."Read full review »

There are quite a few podcasts I listen to. When I start a new one, I listen to it till the end. Unless a Crawlspace pops up, then the rest go on the backburner. Thanks for feeding my Spider-Man addiction!
