When we look at the world through an evolutionary lens, we can't help but see the immense pain and suffering. Although things are getting better, thanks to technology, we are more aware than ever of the suffering in people's lives. In this episode, we discover we are not destined to escape suffering, but rather we learn to face it head on, recognizing that the empathy to feel another's pain as if it were our own, giving us the courage and wherewithal to do what it takes to eradicate it from our world.
