Objects
Listen now
Description
Take a moment to contemplate all the objects around you in your life, from the clothes you are wearing to furniture or appliances. All of these items come with a story of you desiring or needing this thing, and then how you sourced it and acquired it. Maybe it was a gift, a Christmas present, or maybe you saved for months to buy it for yourself. Notice how you may right now appreciate this object, most of the time you are unaware of it and many of the items around you.  Consider how the mind places the idea of fulfillment outside of itself, in something separate. And then as we acquire that object or experience, the mind quickly loses interest and seeks a new object, resulting in a new journey.  Our lives revolve this way, like hamsters on a wheel, continually chasing wholeness. We know intellectually our wholeness lies within us, but then the work begins to actively return to that which we already are. Like this post?
