Good idea but woeful implementation
A fascinating hour’s worth of conjecture and supposition. Unfortunately this podcast lasts around 5 hours so it is intensely repetitive. Plus, I like Hugh Dennis as a comedian, but assuming he can carry this podcast because he likes cycling just doesn’t work. His tone wanders between irony and reading the script monotonically never striking the right tone. There’s value in adding another episode when and if the next Italian commission on Pantani’s death reports their findings but meanwhile there’s nothing to say and they take too long to say it.

I never thought I would see the day when two of my favourite ‘pastimes’ would come together! Pete Tong narrating about Spygate in F1. Thoroughly enjoyed the episode, thank you.

Fascinating story, told amazingly well! I listened to he whole series in one day. This is a must listen.

As others have said, interesting stories but presented badly, reading a script and constant repeating as if it's for children. Too much unnecessary music as well. Also Vanilla ice to present the horse racing series? Has Alan partridge took over commissioning shows?Read full review »
