Fascinating to hear from the writers of some of my favourite sports books, and also to discover new writers. After listening to the Donald McRae episode, I was inspired to read ’Dark Trade’, despite not being a huge boxing fan. What a book! I came here from the House of Rugby, and really enjoy gaining extra insight into books I’ve already read and books I’m yet to read. The presenter is great - very passionate and knowledgeable, and always asks really thoughtful questions. A great way to wind down out the end of the day! Keep up...Read full review »

Loved this episode, Tom Gregory speaks so fluently and engagingly about the swim and with warmth and humour too. Ordered the book within minutes of listening to the podcast, and can’t wait to read it. Brilliant stuff.

One of the best new podcasts I have listened to. It’s fascinating to hear authors speak about their work and their inspirations and how they perceive their books. The episode about Robert Enke’s book is outstanding and so sensitively handled.

I’ve listened to 2 podcasts so far, Roland Lazenby’s book on Michael Jordan and John Feinstein’s classic, A good walk spoiled, I enjoy Simon Clancy’s interview style, he’s well prepared and let’s the authors tell their story, really enjoyed both, I’m looking forward to the rest of the series

Good podcast. Could have dug a bit deeper into his life; not everyone has/will read the book.

Really enjoyed this whilst taking the dog for a walk. Such a sad story and it’s a great book but the whole thing was handled really well. Will definitely listen again.
