“The reason that this podcast is superior to any other in the genre is that it presents two distinct points of view. You have Dave and you have Darren. Dave is a challenging host who obviously has very strong opinions and a sensational, articulate way of expressing his passions --but he's also open minded and ready for good arguments and persuasion. Darren, as his foil, challenger, and (as THE DOCTOR IN THE CAGE) is his confessional. Darren is so upbeat, positive, and convincing of his own point of view that the discussion ebbs and flows into a non-stop shower of Star Trek love, challenge, and affection. The two challenge each other --they agree and disagree, but this forum is an open form of discussion that is as close to a Star Trek utopia as could be hoped for. They are knowledgable and fun. They are sarcastic but any cynicism is found in the deepest fondness and love for the subject. If you play any one of these podcasts, you will be entertained with Star Trek news and nostalgia.
